Sanitary inspection systems

Anritsu has introduced several new product inspection solutions, including a high-accuracy model and a sanitary X-ray system. The high-accuracy model X-ray provides improved contaminant detection accuracy.

The technology has capabilities of detecting 0.2 mm sphere stainless steel and a high-sensitivity detection of low-contrast contaminants.

Food processing equipment needs to not only perform, but also be designed to prevent bacteria growth and allow for proper cleaning. With this in mind, a sanitary X-ray system has also been added to Anritsu’s KD7400 Series.

Designed in accordance with the sanitary design guidelines of the American Meat Institute (AMI), this model assists with the microbial-free sanitation process. The housing of the latest model is crevice free, allowing for easier cleaning and the prevention of bacteria build-up during food manufacturing. The inclusion of solid shaft rollers for the conveyor belt, rather than hollow rollers, further contributes to the sanitary operation of the X-ray system.

This latest model boasts the same 30 s, no-tool disassembly feature found in all Anritsu X-ray systems. The interlocked conveyor guarding, rollers, drives and belt can be removed for cleaning and maintenance in less than 30 s.
