High-speed shrink-wrap machines

The Powersleeve Evolution 4 high-speed shrink-wrap machines implement a floating sheath opening, rotary synchronised multi-blade graduated cutting, transfer of the sleeve by ejection and pre-positioning of the packaging by scrolling (simple, double, turned over or not).

The electronic machine calls on servo-driven technology and up to 12 motion control cards can be combined to carry out all its functions.

Its main assets include accurate results at speeds of between 24,000 (single-head version) and 48,000 bottles/h (dual head on line or parallel); movement accuracy of up to ±0.5 mm, format changeovers of less than 20 mins per operator; a significant reduction in maintenance costs, thanks in particular to the display of a diagnostic of incidents and preventive maintenance reminders; reduced floor space; and fewer components.

The Powersleeve Evolution 4 is designed to handle containers of diameters of 190, 130, 65 and 16 mm, a minimum height of 30 mm and maximum of 320 mm and is compatible with all existing materials (PVC, PET, OPS, TPE) and thicknesses of between 30 and 120 µm.

It can be equipped with a series of peripheral accessories depending on specifications: full micro-perforation and cutting station (±0.5 mm); auto-control of the shrink-wrap sleeve process by cell or camera; synchronised and graduated marking/coding system; feeding systems adapted to various configurations; bespoke conveyors; and height and lateral shrink-wrap sleeve positioning.
