Ice-cream packaging partnership with a sustainable scoop
Australian ice-cream company Everest will transition from plastic to Biopak’s FSC-certified paper ice cream cups, which deliver a quality solution with a lighter environmental footprint.
Alongside the cups, the partnership will also introduce a FSC-certified birchwood spoon, custom-designed by BioPak to fit within Everest’s dixie-style serve. The spoon-in-lid solution is designed to eliminate the need for individual plastic spoons.

“At BioPak, we’re focused on innovation that drives meaningful change and performance excellence, and we’re proud to work with brands such as Everest that share our vision and are willing to push the boundaries to support sustainable, circular solutions,” said BioPak Group CEO Guy Brent.
A standout feature of Everest’s new ice cream cups is their durability; they are made from renewable FSC paper while maintaining the same integrity and functionality of plastic. This was the result of extensive testing and product engineering.
The 110 mL serve is rolling out nationally across airlines, convenience stores and QSR outlets in March 2026. This will be the first of several sustainable packaging initiatives Everest plans to introduce across its product range.
