AIP flexible packaging training at Foodtech Packtech
The Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) will be running two of its mini training courses in New Zealand — Understanding the Fundamentals of Flexible Packaging and The Future of Flexible Packaging Design — on 4 September at Foodtech Packtech at Auckland Showgrounds.
Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and also six points per course towards attaining the global Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) designation.
Course 1: Understanding the Fundamentals of Flexible Packaging
This course will cover the basic fundamentals of flexible packaging, its benefits, how to choose the specific structures to match the product, its performance, marketing challenges, and how the packaging is manufactured.
Course 2: The Future of Flexible Packaging Design
With global focus still pointed heavily at curbing plastic waste (and plastic packaging waste in particular), the future of flexible packaging is multi-faceted and diverse — just like this mini course. Attendees will be presented with an overview of the industry and what is driving changes in the category both locally and abroad, including considerations surrounding food waste, emissions, legislation and on-pack labelling requirements.
Course objectives

- To learn about the various flexible packaging materials that can be used for more sustainable outcomes.
