GS1 Australia and 1WorldSync sign multiyear contract
GS1 Australia has entered into a multiyear agreement with 1WorldSync. The agreement will reportedly provide GS1’s Australia and New Zealand supplier and data recipient user bases with a ‘next generation’ platform for the enhanced delivery of the GS1net Australasia data pool.
The announcement follows the successful deployment of GS1net Webforms, which was developed over many months by GS1 Australia in association with 1WorldSync as an optional front-end data loading tool for GS1net suppliers.
“Working with 1WorldSync for the development of GS1net Webforms to enhance the GS1net user experience allowed us to become confident with the features of the 1WorldSync platform, and the extended benefits their total solutions would offer our data pool user base,” said Maria Palazzolo, GS1 Australia’s CEO.
GS1net is GS1 Australia’s data synchronisation solution for the Australian and New Zealand markets, allowing businesses to exchange standardised supply chain data with their trading partners. It is a comprehensive implementation of item and pricing synchronisation.
GS1 Australia and GS1 New Zealand have enjoyed a successful uptake of GS1net in offering a GDSN solution. GS1net is currently the third-largest data pool with over 1670 GS1net users, with the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) count approaching 700,000.
