FLORA awarded 2025 Innovation Excellence Award from Canstar Blue
FLORA has been awarded a 2025 Canstar Blue Innovation Excellence Award for its FLORA Block Salted dairy-free margarine, which is designed to be used as a butter substitute in baking and cooking.
The awards were created to highlight the products that are making a real impact in helping Australians better manage their home and lifestyle, with winners selected by a panel of judges reviewing product submissions.
The FLORA margarine was recognised for its accessibility, inclusivity and practical functionality, with the judging summary stating:
“As an affordable and widely available product, it offers a plant-based, nut-free, dairy-free and gluten-free formulation that caters to a range of dietary requirements. Its 1:1 butter substitution allows for straightforward use in cooking and baking, while the block format adds convenience for portioning, melting or spreading.
“Judges highlighted the breadth of its appeal, noting its combination of accessibility, affordability and inclusive formulation as key strengths in positioning it as a versatile butter alternative.”
Alongside FLORA’s focus on food technology, a major trend in the 2025 award submissions was smart home applications, as well as the incorporation of AI technologies and automation to enhance functionality.
