Chocolate Academy opens in New York
The Barry Callebaut Group has launched its second Chocolate Academy Centre in the United States, located in New York City. This facility is a creative space for chefs and artisans to develop talent and skills. The centre is part of the wider Chocolate Academy Centre network, which has 27 academies across the globe.
It is located in the New York Meatpacking district, which brings together talent from industries such as confectionery, pastry and chocolate.
The centre’s Head Chef is Nicoll Notter, who won Pastry Chef of the Year for the United States aged only 21. In 2020, he captained the Swiss National Team in the Coupe d’Europe, winning first place. As Head Chef, he aims to help other professionals grow and revolutionise the pastry scene.
