Aussie start-up launches meat subscription service
An Australian start-up has launched a monthly meat box subscription service.
The company, Our Cow, hopes to change the way consumers buy meat while providing Australian farmers with a stable price for their livestock year round.
Our Cow founders Dave McGiveron and Bianca Tarrant launched the subscription service on 6 April to existing subscribers and social media followers. Users of the service can customise their order from a range of 100% grass-fed, organic and free-range meat, which will be delivered once a month.
“We wanted folks in the city to be able to support Australian farmers with their meat choices year round, not just when there is drought or bushfires,” Tarrant said.
The meat is sourced from farms across NSW, with the range including various cuts of lamb, chicken, beef and pork, and even an option for pet food and bones.
