Sustainable packaging boot camp and grant program coming up
The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) and the Entrepreneurs’ Programme are inviting eligible small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the Sustainable Packaging SMART Project boot camps and one-on-one sessions for businesses looking to improve their sustainable packaging efforts.
The project is open to SMEs with revenues between $1.5m to $100m ($750K eligibility for Northern Australia).
By going through the workshop, businesses will be given access to industry networks, expert resources and up to $20,000 (matched) grant funding to work towards their sustainable packaging goals. Importance is also placed on helping companies reach the 2025 Sustainable Packaging Targets.
Adopting sustainable packaging has the potential to help companies with corporate social responsibility goals, reduce their carbon footprints, prevent excess waste and increase sales thanks to consumers and retailers putting their weight behind environmentally conscious products.
Up to 12 months of direct individual business assistance, along with collective, peer group knowledge and skill development activities, will be offered.
Registration for the event is available here. Two sessions will be held: one in WA on Wednesday, 31 August from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm AWST and the other in NSW on 14 September from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm AEST.
