Metcash teams up with poultry processor
Poultry processor Lenard’s is partnering with wholesale distribution warehouse Metcash to supply its chicken products to independent supermarkets across Australia.
Multiple agreements have been signed between the two companies to distribute the products across Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, with further states on the plate for the future.
“Metcash is such a big supporter of Lenard’s,” said Lenard’s Chief Executive Officer Harry Rumpler.
“Our partnership with Metcash means we are now available to all food markets in South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland, with Western Australia and New South Wales to come soon. Supermarkets are particularly excited as we have not been available in most of these regions for a number of years.”
The products supplied under the agreements target different markets. They come in the form of deli and meat case lines and the pre-packaged meals.
Additionally the products are delivered to the stores frozen, and they can be sold frozen or thawed.
