Meat & Livestock Australia releases its Strategic Plan 2030
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has released its Strategic Plan 2030, which outlines the key priorities and partnerships needed to ensure Australian red meat remains globally competitive, environmentally sustainable and highly valued by customers and consumers.
After a year-long nationwide consultation, the plan has been shaped by feedback from producers, peak industry bodies, supply chain partners, government, research and development corporations, and other key stakeholders.
For producers, the plan means targeted investment in tools, research and partnerships that deliver on-farm impact, from improving genetics and unlocking premiums, to practical emissions reduction solutions and strong market access.
The plan outlines MLA’s commitment to:
- delivering productivity-driven environmental sustainability
- creating and capturing value from Value Based Marketing
- establishing multibreed genetic evaluation and livestock credentials
- driving demand through marketing, market access and social capital
- investing in industry’s people.
Representing a vision for the future of the industry, the plan also presents the role MLA plays in helping producers and stakeholders navigate change, unlock value and stay globally competitive.
