IDF launches 4th annual IDF Dairy Innovation Awards
The International Dairy Federation (IDF) has launched the IDF Dairy Innovation Awards for 2025, now in their fourth year. Sponsored by Tetra Pak, the awards continue to celebrate groundbreaking advancements in the global dairy sector.
The awards are designed to highlight innovative processes, products and practices aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability across the dairy value chain. They are also aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, recognising initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable dairy sector.
Last year’s awards attracted over 150 entries from 25 countries, demonstrating the sector’s commitment to continuous innovation.
Participants are invited to submit their innovations in the below categories, which aim to recognise transformative ideas that enhance sustainability and address current trends, benefiting consumers and the planet. Solutions should focus on improving the dairy sector’s impact.
1. Sustainable Farming Practices
- Innovation in Environmental Sustainability in Farming
- Innovation in Animal Care in Farming
- Innovation in Socio-Economic Sustainability in Farming
2. Sustainable Processing Innovation
3. New Product Innovation
- Innovation in Dairy Products for Human Nutrition
- Innovation in Food Safety Equipment
- Innovation in Packaging and Transparency in Dairy Products
4. People & Planet in the Dairy Sector
- Innovation in Inclusion and Women’s Empowerment in Dairy
- Innovation in Climate Action in the Dairy Sector
- Innovation in Marketing and Communication for Sustainable Dairy
Entries are open from 7 April to 7 June 2025. The jury will evaluate submitted projects from 9 July to 4 August 2025. Finalists will be announced on the IDF website on 1 September 2025.
Winners will be presented during the IDF Dairy Innovation Awards 2025 ceremony at the IDF World Dairy Summit, to be held in Santiago, Chile, on 21 October 2025.
IDF members can participate free of charge, while non-members may enter with paid registration.
