Guidelines to mitigate COVID-19 risks for food processors

Food businesses need to be vigilant about their responsibilities to their employees as well as consumers.

FIAL is partnering with AIFST on an upcoming course for food processors, which is being held on Tuesday, 6 October 2020.

The virtual course — COVID-19 and your Workforce — will provide participants with the strategies to mitigate the risks presented by COVID-19, while keeping operations running and workforces safe.

AIFST has developed the guidelines to assist food processors to mitigate the risks to employees presented by the COVID-19 virus.

The virtual course will include discussion on these guidelines, including how to:

  • protect the health of your employees, their families and the broader community;
  • ensure the uninterrupted supply of food to Australian consumers; and
  • facilitate, as far as possible, business continuity, ensuring business survival and safeguarding job security for your workforce.
