A look inside Anuga Organic
Anuga Organic, taking place in Cologne from 7–11 October 2023, provides an overview of organic products. The theme ‘organic’ has gained increased significance in recent years due to growing consumer awareness of health and the environment.
According to Innova Market Insights, worldwide interest in organic food and beverages has experienced an average growth rate of 4.5% annually (CAGR, Jul 2017–Jun 2022). The three leading segments in 2022 were ‘vegan’, ‘gluten-free’ and ‘without additives/preservatives’. From 2020 to 2022, the fasting growing segments included plant-based products which grew by 31%, followed by HFC-free products at 29% and halal-certified products at 28%.
According to the Organic Food Global Market Report 2023 by Research and Markets, the market for organic food is expected to increase up to US$437.36 billion worldwide by 2026 with a CAGR of 14%.
The Anuga Organic trade show will have a range of organic products from Germany and abroad, with around 200 exhibitors presenting a variety of sustainable and healthy products.
With a modern supermarket concept, the Organic Supermarket will be located in Hall 5.1, containing over 1500 organic products for the food retail trade. It will display the latest trends, rounded off by the lecture program including panel discussions and trend lectures on the themes of the organic industry.
Startups will be at the show, presenting unconventional ideas and solutions together with established industry players.
