The Schunk range of grippers for handling fresh food products has been extended with the release of angular gripper type LMG-44.
The pneumatically-operated grippers from Schunk can be used in applications where fresh food products are to be handled automatically, such as in processing and packing lines. The LMG-44 gripper, a smaller version of the original LMG-64, means that users can now select from three versions of specialist grippers for handling fresh food.
These grippers comply with the hygienic design rules according to DIN EN 1672-2 and the use of positive shapes with easy-to-clean gap-widths qualifies them for direct contact with food.
The grippers are suitable for processing meat and a variety of fresh food products. These polished stainless steel grippers can be fitted to robots, handling systems and other automated equipment.
Stacking gripper, model SG-47 is a flexible and sturdy module with opening and closing times of less than 0.05 s. It can precisely pick up or deposit products in random order, individually or in stacks.
Incorporating hygienic design features, the stacking gripper is available for food handling and packing applications.
Both the stacking and angular grippers can be fitted with product specific, stainless steel fingers and can operate in temperature ranges from 0 to 80°C.
