Takeover offer rejected by a2 Milk
The a2 Milk Company’s board has rejected a takeover offer from shareholders Freedom Foods Group and Dean Foods Company.
The company issued a statement saying it had evaluated the offer and determined that the proposal was not “compelling” and therefore it would not be recommended to shareholders.
The board indicated it has received other confidential enquiries indicating potential interest in the company, and is in the course of evaluating these, but emphasised there is no certainty that any proposal will result in a transaction.
