ASX demands a2 Milk reveal takeover bidders
The a2 Milk Company Limited has identified the parties that have made a takeover bid for the company are Freedom Foods Limited and Dean Foods Company.
The a2 Milk Company had previously announced that two unnamed companies had made an approach, but following intense media speculation, the Australian Stock Exchange requested the parties be identified.
Freedom Foods is a publicly listed Australian-based food company that was established in 1990 and specialises in health-oriented and allergen-free foods. Dean Foods Company, which has operated since 1925 and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, has a strong focus on dairy products. It is one of the largest processors and distributors of milk in the US and has four manufacturing plants in Europe.
