Mars named among Australia's best workplaces
A chocolate company sounds like a great place to work, and not just for the free samples.
For the fourth year in a row, Mars Australia has been recognised as one of Australia’s best workplaces by the BRW Great Place to Work Awards. The company was ranked as the 15th best place to work in the country.
Mars says its internal training and development programs, community volunteerism, approach to sustainability, recognition culture and research and development have contributed to the national recognition.
The private, family-owned company cultivates a distinctive culture, with features such as dynamic office floor plans to encourage collaboration, team cooking classes and the opportunity to bring pets to the workplace. The company has also been credited for its wellness programs, as well as local and global volunteering opportunities.
“Ultimately, people want to work for a company that inspires them — that fosters innovation and creates an engaging work environment — and that’s why people come to join, stay and grow with Mars Australia,” said Sylvia Burbery, general manager at Mars Petcare Australia.
