Detectamet precision metal and X-ray detector test pieces ensure metal detection and X-ray equipment works correctly and conforms to required quality assurance standards.

Detectamet metal detector test pieces are colour coded for visual verification and fitted with a calibrated and certified bearing to ISO9002 and AFBMA Calibration. The test pieces include low-, medium- and high-density materials as the medium, combined with test contaminants of varying densities.

For quality assurance purposes, test pieces are supplied with a certificate of conformity. Each test piece has a number etched onto its side which relates to the Certificate of Conformity supplied by the bearing manufacturer. Users’ company names and extra numbers can be etched onto the test pieces if required to allow for individual identification purposes such as shift workers or issues numbers.

Metal detector test pieces are manufactured from a variety of materials, including acrylic, PVC and polyethylene. They are suitable for use with end-of-line, inline, throat, gravity, pipeline and conveyor metal detectors. Contamination ball bearings are available in a variety of materials such as stainless steel 316, ferrous, non-ferrous, glass, ceramic and wire.

X-ray detector test pieces are transparent but with visible certificate numbers, ball contaminants, sizes and identification, and are available in sizes from 0.3 to 10 mm. The range includes low-, medium- and high-density materials acting as the medium, combined with test contaminants of varying densities.

Contamination ball bearings are available in a variety of materials such as stainless steel 316, ferrous, non-ferrous, glass, ceramic and wire.
