Gems Sensors & Controls has launched the UCL-520 Ultrasonic Level Sensor that is suitable for non-contact applications such as industrial water treatment, wastewater management, chemical and petroleum distillates storage as well as many other challenging fluid applications.
The UCL-520 is a two-wire, 4–20 mA output, ultrasonic level transmitter for measurement up to 8 m and is built with a rugged PVDF transducer for challenging ultra-pure, dirty coating, scaling, corrosive or waste liquids. The accurate sensor is easy to install within limited space applications and the minimum 200 mm dead band allows for maximum fill of media.
The UCL-520 offers a 76 mm minimum beam width for restricted space applications and the selectable display indicates level in air gap or liquid height. The UCL-520 is push-button calibrated with 6-segment LCD. The user interface is fast and simple via a scrolling single-layer menu. The enclosure is IP65 weatherproof rated.
The Gems UCL-520 Ultrasonic Level Indicator has a stated accuracy of ±0.2% of span in air. Tank fitting is via a 2 in NPT threaded connection.
