Designed to code onto flow wrap, labels and gloss card, the IP65-rated version of the Linx TT5 washdown thermal transfer printer is suitable for food, confectionery and pharmaceutical applications where hygiene is paramount. The specially designed washdown cassette protects the TT5 washdown printer against water and dust ingress.

Key features include: maximising uptime, no offline preparation necessary; same user-friendly features of standard TT5; typical applications include pharmaceuticals, meat, fish, frozen food and snack foods.

Efficient ribbon use leaves only a 0.5 mm gap between messages. One of the longest standard ribbons on the market (1000 m) means fewer ribbon changes. Production-line uptime is also increased with the clutch-less ribbon drive (minimising the risk of ribbon breaks) and the simple cassette for quick changeovers.

Like the standard model, the Linx TT5 washdown has the same easy-to-use features, including a colour touch screen and onboard diagnostics packages. The fault, warning and help messages optimise productivity. It is also easy to switch between intermittent and continuous printing modes, and left- or right-hand operation.

The cassette is inserted in place of a standard ribbon cassette just before washdown. This simple process only takes seconds and seals the printer for protection, as proven in field trials.
