A technical dinner on the 13th of April in Box Hill, Victoria, will discuss ‘Global Packaging Trends — Global Growth Markets for Packaging’.

Hosted by APPMA, in conjunction with the AIP, the evening will feature discussion of the newly released Global Packaging Trends Report — a market research study highlighting future packaging demand, product categories and opportunities for growth in packaging among fast-growing and maturing world economies.

Mark Dingley, chairman of APPMA, will highlight key trends identified in the report, including the three influencers making a mark in every region:

  1. Growing consumer awareness of health and wellness.
  2. Stronger influence of recycling and environmental issues.
  3. Increasing disposable income and purchasing power.

Other regional trends to be addressed include the continued popularity of flexible plastics and the fast-growing market for PET bottles.
