SnackHQ launched in Melbourne
A new snack food company called SnackHQ has been launched in Melbourne by three former founders of Gourmet Food.
Developing and manufacturing all its snacking products in-house at its food facility In Melbourne, the company has launched three snack bars on supermarket shelves in Australia, with another new product called ReFil launching this month.
“We created SnackHQ because we saw the need for nutritious and genuinely great-tasting lunchbox and snacking products,” said Todd Wilson, co-founder and Chair of SnackHQ. “As we manufacture our own ranges, we can adapt quickly and bring new ideas to life faster, just as we did in the premium cracker categories with Gourmet Food. With a commitment to creating high-quality, nutritious products, we plan on reshaping the snacking category with healthy and delicious options that reflect our industry expertise and passion for innovation.”
The ReFil bars launching this month come in three flavours and have a 5 Health Star Rating — containing 9 g of prebiotic fibre and 6 g of protein, no artificial flavours or colours, less than one teaspoon of sugar per bar and zero sugar alcohols.
“We developed ReFil to fill the gap in the market for snacking products for upper primary school-aged kids and teens, an age when kids have more discretion when it comes to taste but still need nourishing food for their mind and body,” said SnackHQ’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Julia Clark.
The company says it also has plans for several other products in the pipeline.
