SAI Global's food industry qualification proves popular
In November 2015, SAI Global launched a nationally recognised qualification designed for professionals working with the food industry in operations, food safety and quality assurance roles.
Three months after classes commenced, there has been extensive interest in the 10140NAT Diploma of Food Safety Quality Assurance Management, especially from professionals who may already have completed shorter courses in food safety but are looking for a pathway to formal qualification.
Launched in response to a national skills shortage, the diploma aims to provide participants with skills and knowledge to work as quality assurance and food safety management professionals in the food industry. It can also assist with implementing integrated quality and risk management strategies, processes and systems in the food industry context.
The qualification can be achieved through a combination of face-to-face or online learning as well as through a Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer pathway. For more information, click here.
