Pet Food Zone at Anuga FoodTec in 2024
Anuga FoodTec is expanding its exhibition space to include a section for the pet food industry. The Pet Food Zone will debut at the next Anuga FoodTec, which is being staged in Cologne from 19–22 March 2024.
Having recently recorded an annual growth rate of over 3%, the pet food market is experiencing continual growth, creating high industry demand. The pet food market had a turnover of around 30 billion euros in 2022 in Europe alone, which was enough reason to offer it as an area of its own at the exhibition.
According to Anuga FoodTec Director Matthias Schlüter, many of the FoodTec exhibitors already offer a selection of solutions for the food industry that can be implemented into the pet food industry. The Pet Food Zone will create a central information hub that enables visitors to see the solutions in the sector.
The requirements for the production, quality, packaging, storage and transport of pet food are strict and demanding, on par with those of the food and beverage industry. Pet food manufacturers are increasingly interested in innovative technologies that will increase their competitiveness.
Anuga FoodTec is organised by Koelnmesse.
