Middleby relaunches Thurne branded slicing systems
Thurne was a well-known name in slicing equipment for bacon, cooked meats and cheese in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The brand then became part of AEW Delford Systems, and later Marel.
Middleby Corporation has now acquired Marel’s high-speed slicing range and has relaunched the Thurne brand.
Products include bacon slicers incorporating vision and scanning technology, systems for cooked and cured meat, and cheese and fresh meat slicers.
