Last call for papers for World Congress of Food Science and Technology
Time is running out to submit papers for presentation at the 18th IUFoST World Congress of Food Science and Technology — the submission deadline is 18 March.
The prestigious international food science and technology congress will be held in Dublin, Ireland, and will host up to 2000 participants — including food scientists, engineers, food industry professionals, thought leaders, decision-makers, regulatory authorities and students from all over the world.
The theme of the congress is ‘Greening the Global Food Supply Chain through Innovation in Food Science and Technology’.
The congress theme will be addressed under distinct session topics:
- Innovation in food quality and processing
- Food supply chain and distribution systems
- Future foods
- Food sustainability
- Societal challenges in nutrition and health
- Local and global food safety and security
- Sectoral hot topics in food science and the food industry
IUFoST will also convene the 1st Global Food Summit prior to the official opening of the congress. This Ministerial-level summit will bring together those who can effect strategic change to policies worldwide. The key areas that will be addressed are:
- Food research prioritisation and funding
- The global vision of the role of food science and technology in meeting societal and technological changes
- Implementation of the global vision with national policy advisers
