The Australian Institute of Food Science Technology (AIFST) together with the Australian Food & Grocery Council (AFGC) will hold one-day events in Sydney and Melbourne in June to provide information about food regulation and compliance.

The second part of the day, open to all, is a ‘Food Regulations 101’ workshop. Key topic areas to be covered include:

  • Mandatory requirements - Food Standards Code and understanding the regulations and obligations of a food manufacturer.
  • ACCC.
  • Compliance and enforcement.
  • Claims - health and premium.
  • Product Information Form - how this can help with compliance.
  • Product recall and traceability.

Online registration is available at the AIFST website.
