Fine Food Australia reveals Best New Products of 2019
Fine Food Australia has announced the winners of its Best New Product Awards, with event director Minnie Constan describing the awards as “hotly contested and highly prized”.
“Customers and consumers are always looking for what’s new and eager to try something different so it’s important we reward and celebrate the clever and creative businesses that are pushing the boundaries,” Constan said.
Direct Bakery’s Vitelli Automatic Dough Press and Cutting Station System won the Bakery Award. Finalists included Ready Bake’s vegan and gluten-free pie shell with matching puff pie top, and Bakers Maison’s almost filled croissant.
Simplot Foodservice won the Food Service Award for its I&J Fish IN Chips. Finalists for the Food Service Award included RDM Pizza Australia’s chocolate pizza base and wattle seed extract from the Australian Superfood Company. Food service finalists included Kreol prebiotic sparkling drinks and Spiral Foods’ organic ramen miso.
O’Smile – Easy Tiger Pork & Kimchi Gyoza won the Retail Award for its pork and kimchi gyoza.
SKOPE Industries’ ReFlex took out the Hospitality Award, with finalists including Hobart’s Premax GPCROI PREMAX glasswasher with dryer and reserve osmosis, alongside the M-iClean UMI by Meiko Australia Pacific.
