Family-owned West End brewery rebrands
Located in Brisbane’s West End, Parched West End Craft Brewery has become The Brew Baron Beer Company, a family-owned brand operated by Brad Sayer, Rita Ferraro and Gibran Ferraro Firmo.
Sayer and Firmo purchased the troubled Parched Brewery in June 2023 and have been working hard to acquaint themselves with the West End community, while keeping the beers that the community loves but also addressing some much-needed improvements.
The Brew Baron Beer Co. focuses on its fictional “Baron” character, representing the owners’ tongue-in-cheek outlook on life. Apart from the branding changes, patrons can also enjoy a newly constructed deck, a pool room, improved food and beer menus, introduction of big screen TVs with Fox Sports, leather chesterfield sofas and the reintroduction of live music.
Firmo is a qualified chef who is improving the food menu by using fresher ingredients and introducing his native South American flavours. In the brewhouse, long-standing brewer Matt Wolfe has been given greater autonomy to brew beers. Both Sayer and Firmo will be onsite as much as possible to listen to customer feedback directly.
