Electrolux strengthens its professional beverage offering

Electrolux has acquired an Italian manufacturer of professional dispensers of frozen and hot beverages and soft ice-cream, SPM Drink Systems, as part of the company’s strategy to increase its presence in the hospitality industry.

SPM Drink Systems’ product portfolio will allow Electrolux Professional to become a full service solution provider.

This acquisition is strategic and a perfect match to bring added value to our product offering,” said Alberto Zanata, Head of Electrolux Professional Products.

With half a century of heritage and skilled expertise as industry leader, the acquired operations had combined net sales of approximately EUR30 million in 2017, and 110 employees. The company’s headquarters and main manufacturing facilities are based in Spilamberto, Modena, Italy.
