BerryWorld wins five food awards
BerryWorld has been recognised for its strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, with the company recently being awarded five Superior Taste Awards by the International Taste Institution.
The company’s Jewel Raspberries, Midnight Blackberries, Sundown Blueberries, Sweet Eve 2 Strawberries and Eves Delight 2 Strawberries all received Superior Taste Awards with 2 stars.
A jury of chefs and sommeliers tested more than 15,000 food and drink products from around the world, and evaluated the berry varieties on several factors, including appearance, aroma, texture and taste.
Adam Olins, CEO at BerryWorld Group, said: “We are constantly investing in varietal development; you can never stand still. We truly believe in growing the berry world together and these awards are recognition of our commitment to pursue this vision. The foundation of our business is our people and our product; not only do our berries have to taste fantastic, they must be sustainable too — delivering a high yield for growers, improved shelf life for customers and fantastic flavour for consumers.”
The Superior Taste Award is claimed to be the most renowned independent taste certification worldwide.
