Avery Dennison launches packaging innovator program
Avery Dennison has announced that it is aiming to accelerate the labelling and packaging ecosystem in the Asia–Pacific region with the launch of its AD Stretch program for startup innovators.
The program is split into six different challenges relating to packaging and labelling, including the creation of sustainable, responsible and efficient value chains, the connection of consumers to brands through new experiences, and the development of materials and packaging 2.0. The participating startups will be tasked with solving the problem of their choice.
The company hopes that the program will attract a wide selection of startup innovators to address these challenges, from which 10 finalists will be selected to execute a pilot project.
“From our first day in business nearly 90 years ago, Avery Dennison has a long and proud heritage as an innovator,” said Anil Sharma, vice president and general manager, Labels and Graphic Materials Asia-Pacific, Avery Dennison.
“AD Stretch will help us stay on the cutting edge of innovation by reaching out to the brightest talent and startups, working together to realise shared goals and values and solve the key challenges of the next decade.”
The program will be launched globally, starting in Asia–Pacific and Latin America before being rolled out in Europe and the US later this year.
Applications for the AD Stretch program are now open to startups and close on 20 March.
