Aussie sustainable packaging innovation planning to go global
TomKat Global Solutions is working towards raising further equity to scale its sustainable packaging technology globally.
The funds are being raised to assist with the global rollout of its KoolPak reusable and recyclable packaging system that is designed to replace single-use polystyrene across food, pharmaceutical and ecommerce supply chains.
The packaging has been through national and international pilots in Australia, is protected by five patent families, and is supported by a supply agreement with Sekisui Foam Australia and Thai Sekisui Foam.
The company has raised $4.3 million to date and secured Thai Board of Investment approval to establish its new Chon Buri manufacturing facility, equipped with advanced automation and robotics.
“We’ve built the foundation,” said Kath Long, co-founder of TomKat Global Solutions. “Now we’re ready to expand globally and lead the transition to reuse-first packaging for a low-carbon future.”
