2018 AIP National Conference seeks speakers
The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has invited speakers to submit an application to present a paper at its 2018 National Conference. To be held in Surfers Paradise in May, the conference is calling potential speakers to talk on a range of topics centred around the theme of ‘Packaging Globalisation’.
The 2018 conference will be a two-day educational program broken down into breakout sessions and keynote presentations. Alongside the conference, the AIP will also be hosting the 2018 WorldStar Packaging Awards, the 2018 Packaging & Processing Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards and the 2018 World Packaging Organisation Board Meetings.
Aimed at packaging designers, technologists, engineers, and sales and marketing people, the AIP has released a range of suggested topics which approach the theme from a technical, environmental and consumer issues point of view. Some of these topics include: global trends in labelling; disruptive and dynamic packaging; global sustainable packaging trends and innovations; and the latest packaging innovations to extend shelf life.
The application stipulates that potential speakers submit a 500-word abstract of their paper, at least one key learning objective, areas of expertise and details of previous speaking experience.
The deadline for the abstract is 17 November and successful speakers will be notified by late December 2017.
