Tip Top Bakeries to open new manufacturing facility
Tip Top Bakeries has acquired a 25,000 m2 site at Charmhaven on the NSW Central Coast. The bread manufacturer will invest millions in refurbishing the site, which was formerly owned by The Kellogg Company.
The site will enable Tip Top to extend its bakery and distribution network, creating 100 jobs in the region.
Andrew Cummings, managing director of Tip Top Bakeries, said the company was delighted to be adding to its bakery network at a time when many manufacturers were consolidating and closing sites.
“This exciting multimillion-dollar investment will ensure we continue to produce and deliver the highest quality product, daily across Australia, and are working to fulfil our ambition to become a leading bakery company in Australia and New Zealand.
Cummings said the site will undergo significant refurbishment over the coming year. Tip Top Bakeries has three other NSW-based bakery and distribution operations at Newcastle, Chullora and Ermington and 11 manufacturing plants across Australia.
