Tray denester with pre-padding system

By modifying the successful Intermittent pick and place unit from MGS Machine Corporation, (shown in the picture); Packaging Automation Pty Ltd has been able to deliver a system that places soaker pads inside food grade trays, on demand, in a fresh meat environment.

This can be utilised in chicken, red meat or seafood industries. This system will place a tray, (rigid plastic, foam cell and many others) onto the production line, hold the tray momentarily and place a food grade soaker pad (regardless of manufacturer) inside the tray. Thus eliminating the need to buy pre-padded trays or pre-pad before production starts. This machine is available in a fully washdown version which will operate in a wet and refrigerated environment.

Marty Rodgers, Packaging Automation's Managing Director explains, "We have worked on this project for a customer in Melbourne for about 6 months now and final trials are going well. Like a lot of our products, the key to success with this system is adapting the machine to the local environment. We put a lot of effort into understanding the application before we have the machines manufactured, but for all that, the final 10% of the project is done on adapting the equipment on site where the system needs to perform."

Packaging Automation Pty Ltd will launch the system in Australia in the coming weeks.
