ABB Australia’s second-generation FlexPicker robot, the IRB 360, is more productive with increased speed, higher payload and a smaller footprint than its predecessors.
The increased payload capacity allows the robot to handle heavier objects and also accommodate the mass of increasingly sophisticated grippers required in handling diverse products.
The robot is configured to enable easy cleaning and reduced maintenance. The theta axis has been made with a stainless, robust variant made for the open food industry. The smaller footprint allows it to be built into machines and production lines for many packing applications.
The robot’s PickMaster software enables modelling for applications and assists with the optimisation of multiple robot installations. The IRC5 controller is available in a panel-mounted version that offers substantial space savings and easy integration into machines and production lines.
