Tuesday, 25 February, 2014

BioPak has announced it will exhibit at foodpro 2014, Australasia’s largest and longest-running food manufacturing trade show. The show, which is held once every three years, will this year be held in Melbourne for the first time since its inception in 1967.

foodpro 2014 will span more than 20,000 m2 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with more than 300 suppliers confirmed to exhibit at the event. Exhibitors range from companies specialising in food processing equipment, science and technology, food safety, packaging and handling.

BioPak will premiere its range of packaging solutions at foodpro 2014.

“As a result of ongoing R&D investment in moulded pulp and bioplastic materials, we are confident that we can develop and supply tailor-made, functional and cost-effective packaging solutions to replace a number of traditional packaging materials such as aluminium foil and conventional plastic,” said Richard Fine, BioPak’s founding director.

“Showcasing BioPak’s innovative solutions at foodpro 2014 will provide a wonderful platform for us to present our offering and provide companies with more sustainable alternatives that are functional, cost effective and also appeal to consumer demand for more sustainable packaging.”

Peter Petherick, foodpro Exhibition Manager, said the event will focus heavily on the latest projects, innovative ideas and technological advances from leaders in the sector.

“The event is a great forum to showcase the future of the food manufacturing industry. The type of innovations we’re seeing from companies like BioPak are indicative of the type of forward, progressive thinking visitors can expect from exhibitors at this year’s event,” Petherick said.

foodpro 2014 will be held from Sunday 22 June to Wednesday 25 June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. For more information and to register for free entry, visit www.foodproexh.com.
