Rydell celebrates its 40th birthday
Rydell Industrial (Belting) Co is celebrating 40 years of supplying and servicing the Australian food industry.
In 1974, current co-director Russell Glenn started the company from his home, opening a small factory in South Melbourne shortly thereafter. Rydell moved to a larger factory in Moorabbin in 1979, with Rex Over joining the company as co-director in 1981. The company moved to larger premises (again in Moorabbin) in 1983.
The company’s South Australian branch opened in 1987, followed by a West Australian branch in 1988. 1991 saw the company expand into New South Wales and, by 1997, Rydell Queensland had opened its doors. A regional NSW branch opened in 2012 in Armidale to service the north-west NSW region.
Rydell is now the only Australian organisation to have company-owned branches in all mainland states of Australia. Between its branches and authorised distributors, the company offers national coverage and support.
Rydell says it will continue to support and service a variety of industries and applications across Australia.
