Steve Yung has been named as the new CEO of Sealord Group. Born in Canada, Yung was most recently managing director of McCain Foods Australia/New Zealand.

Yung will be based in Auckland and will commence the new role on 25 August.

“Steve’s extensive experience in multinational food manufacturing environments will be extremely valuable as Sealord works to grow and develop our business,” said Sealord Group Chairman Matanuku Mahuika.

“He joins the business towards the end of what we expect to be a solid financial year in which Sealord has returned to profit after the challenges of last year and is looking at opportunities to further improve its existing operations.”

Yung has 30 years of broad multichannel experience in the food industry, including FMCG, food service, manufacturing and agriculture across Australian, New Zealand and Canadian markets.
