Food processing equipment manufacturer Gold Peg is launching its new high-volume RotaTherm continuous cooking system at foodpro 2014, Australasia’s largest food processing exhibition.

Specialising in direct steam injection continuous cooking systems, the RotaTherm pasteurises and sterilises processed cheese, sauces, baby food and pet food and is proudly made in Melbourne.

RotaTherm can process 14000 kg/hr.

RotaTherm can process 14,000 kg/h.

New to the RotaTherm range are the Long Run Twin, which can run for up to 6.5 days non-stop, and the high-volume continuous cooking system which processes up to 14,000 kg/h.

The marketing manager for Gold Peg, Paula Bell, said the processing levers of the RotaTherm can be adjusted and accurately controlled to achieve a physically gentle process that maintains the shape of the particles for attractive presentation for the likes of baby food and chunky sauces.

“Alternatively, the process can be set to shear to produce a homogeneous smooth end product for products such as pureed vegetables or processed cheeses,” Bell said.

Visitors can stop at the Gold Peg booth (J17) to learn more about the RotaTherm and how it can be customised to deliver a fresher, more hygienic product from the relatively small footprint of just 3 x 4 m.

Gold Peg staff will also be on hand to perform interactive product displays to help attendees better understand the features and benefits of the products on display.

foodpro 2014 will run from Sunday 22 June to Wednesday 25 June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Southbank. To learn more about foodpro 2014 or to register for free entry, visit www.foodproexh.com.
