Deadline extended for NZIFST Food Industry Excellence Awards

NZIFST NZ Institute of Food
Monday, 31 March, 2014

To avoid a clash with the end of the financial year, the deadline for registrations of interest in nominations for the New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology (NZIFST) Food Industry Excellence Awards has been extended by one week to 11 April.

The awards recognise and reward people for excellence in specified fields and aims to foster these qualities in the New Zealand food industry. The awards recognise industry professionals who achieve great outcomes in:

  • Leadership
  • Innovation
  • Eco-efficiency
  • Service or supply

Individuals, teams, site personnel or staff of an entire company may be nominated according to the circumstances. Neither nominee nor nominator needs to be a member of the NZIFST, but the nominee must be active in some aspect of the New Zealand food industry.

On request, extensions to the deadline will be granted to Monday 28 April at the latest, in order to accommodate those taking an extended break over Easter and ANZAC Day. However, to secure an authorised extension, nominators must download a nomination form from the awards site and apply by email to the Awards Champion Allan Main (ajm@mainlyconsulting.co.nz) by 11 April at the latest.

The award winners will be determined by a panel of senior food professionals previously recognised by NZIFST for their contribution to the industry. The awards will be presented during the 2014 NZIFST Conference in Christchurch on 1 to 3 July 2014.

The nomination forms can be downloaded from www.nzifst.org.nz/awards/industryawards.asp
