The AIFST has released the program for its 50th Anniversary Convention, which will be co-located with foodpro at the new International Convention Centre Sydney on 17–18 July 2017.

The two-day program includes presentations, panel discussions, an industry roundtable, networking breakfasts, a wine and cheese evening and the AIFST 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner.

Focusing on The Future of Food, conference delegates will hear more than 65 speakers discussing the latest in technology, science and innovation that will drive the food industry for the next 50 years.

Some convention highlights:

  • Barry Irvin, AM, Executive Chairman, Bega Cheese, will present the JR Vickery Address in honour of the inaugural President of AIFST. Barry will share his thoughts and views on the current state and future of the dairy industry. He will also participate in the industry roundtable discussing financing innovation and growth in the Australian food industry.
  • Brianna Casey, CEO, Foodbank Australia, will deliver a keynote address sharing with delegates the work of Foodbank Australia and the changing social justice barometer of food.
  • Mathew Fenech, Materials & Applications specialist, Sealed Air – Packaging Session, share his insights on the future of packaging — trends driving the next wave of innovation.

Register now to receive the early bird discount.

Delegates can choose to register for the whole convention or for single days. AIFST members are eligible for savings of around 25% so it may be worth becoming a member and enjoying these benefits as well as the discounted rate for the convention. Discounted group packages (25%) are available when a minimum of five tickets are purchased in a single transaction. Early bird registrations are available until midnight AEST on Monday, 22 May 2017.
